About Hāmākua-Kohala Health

Hāmākua-Kohala Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and receives funds from the US Federal Government Bureau of Primary Health Care. With this funding comes a commitment to provide comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care to medically under-served communities and vulnerable populations. This includes all people who face barriers in accessing services because of poverty, language or cultural differences, or an insufficient number of health professionals or resources in the area.
